Problem Statement

Our project focuses on one major problem in education today: students constantly switch between apps for learning, coding, searching, notation, and productivity, which breaks focus and reduces learning efficiency. We will introduce Lumi, an AI-powered educational companion that brings everything together into one intelligent platform. Lumi is not just a chatbot. It is a multimodal AI system designed to make learning smarter, faster, and more interactive.

Solution & AI Usage

Lumi uses AI in multiple ways: 1. Conversational AI, powered by Grok API, for fast, real-time responses to academic and coding-related questions. 2. Voice AI: speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems allow students to communicate naturally with the AI Assistant. 3. AI Coding Assistant helps students generate, explain, and debug code instantly. 4. Computer Vision AI: webcam-based hand-case recognition is used for touchless controls like muting and unmuting the Assistant.
